Dolls house for sale. Assembled from a
Sid Cooke kit pack this 1/12 scale three storey Georgian dolls house
has six rooms all with internal doors. It has a central hallway
and landing area with two return staircases which have further
bannister rails. Made from birch plywood and mdf.
Height 331/2" width 27" depth 141/2".
The kit form is still available to purchase from Sid Cooke at £330.
We are selling this item for only £175.
Lack of time has prevented completion. All that remains to be
assembled are the staircase, banisters and internal door frames as
well as the decoration of your choice. Purchaser also receives a
Georgian fire surround and some wall paper. This is not an item
which can be put in the post so the buyer must either collect or make
arrangements with me for delivery. We live in Derbyshire, ten
minutes from junction 24 of the M1.

The facade was made for a competition and won first prize, the rest
was then built round the facade. Four and a half rooms plus

For Sale. Hand
built 1/12 scale Doll’s House, Victorian villa style with 2 downstairs
rooms and 2 first floor rooms. The house measures 38”W x 22”D
x 32”H and is solidly constructed (2adults needed to lift it!).
The house is fully
decorated with 1/12 scale William Morris wallpapers, skirting boards and
cornices.
The interior doors were
individually made from strips of solid mahogany and all floors with the
exception of the downstairs kitchen, are polished wood. The Hall floor
is parquet.The kitchen features a black and white simulated tiled floor
and includes a cooker range.
Fireplaces are complete
in the other 3 rooms and feature switched electric effect coal
fires. All rooms have switched 12 volt electric lights. The power
pack is included. The staircase is carpeted and constructed with
top rail, newel posts and spindles.
The outside of the
house is simulated brick, not wallpaper, and features barge boards,
gutters and fall pipes and a porch to protect the front door.
Because the house has
’contra-roofs’ it was not possible to hinge the front, so to gain
access to the house the fronts have to be lifted off. In practice this
means that it is a collectors piece for an adult.
This house is just
waiting for an enthusiast to furnish the rooms with tender loving
care!

CORNISH
FISHERMANS COTTAGE For Sale £500
including furniture & accessories. Built
by a retired Cabinetmaker who likes to be creative in retirement.The
cottage (including quayside on 2 elevations) measures W29”x D22.5”x
H23.5”approximately and is 1/12 scale. The cottage is L shaped and has
2 roof elevations. The slates have been individually made and the walls
have an authentic rough stone finish (not paper). There are outside
stone stairs to the upstairs space. Around the side elevation by the
quay there is a gantry and hoist to land the fish. On the ground floor
by the hoist there is a fish counter. Around the front, downstairs there
is a range cooker, stone sink with attached drainer, welsh dresser,
table and benches, large wooden carver chair. The floor is finished in
large slabs (looks like Cornish slate). Upstairs the bedroom is fitted
out with a wardrobe, washstand, chest of drawers, bed, cupboard and a
chair. To complete the scene, there are 2 fishermen, a sack barrow,
large tradesman’s barrow and 3 seagulls! The sack-barrow,
tradesman’s barrow and seagulls are handmade. It comes complete with
transformer and 7 lights, some fitted to the outside. This really is a
showpiece and is a complete scene in its own right. There is room to
personalise the cottage by fitting out the rooms on the side elevation.
This unique mint condition cottage and quayside can only be appreciated

am reluctantly putting up for sale my 4 room dollshouse which I have
just completed after 8 months. I am using this type of modelling as
therapy after being disabled through arthritis for a number of years.
Unfortunately I have to sell what I make so I can continue with another
model. The house for sale is 1/12 scale, the 4 rooms consist of :-
living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom. The house is full of special
features such as:- Hand carved newell posts,- Individual plank dark oak
flooring (living room)- Individual plank oiled pine walls (kitchen),-
Rough cut dark oak beams, and heavy oak beams,(kitchen),- Fully lit
including real fire and hidden lighting in the recess for the Aga,- real
terracotta floor tiling (kitchen). The house is fully decorated,
furnished, and finished including table cloth, towels, ornaments,
cutlery, china, pots & pans, bedding, soap, newspapers, pipe,
ashtray, matches, curtains to name but a few. I do not wish to make a
profit so am only asking for the amount that I paid out in the making

I am looking for info. on a dollhouse that
belonged to my older sister (and myself, or so I thought until she
sold it several years ago at a yard sale!) that was bought in Scotland
sometime around 1968-- It was a white tin litho townhouse with 3
rooms, an orange cardboard roof, stood between 3 and 4 ft. tall and
had 2 doors in front, no windows (just litho design). I would give
anything to find out at least who made it, much less to find another.
I have asked several experts here in america and they are stumped. I'm
not sure if you can help me or send me in the right direction, but
anything would be forever appreciated. It seemed too big for
minatures... my Barbies "lived" in it, but couldn't stand
upright in it either. Thank you so much,

Does anyone know of a table which
could be used for displaying a dolls house, but which
can be wound up and down somehow to
different heights ? My problem is that I use a
wheelchair and so am very restricted as to the height of a dolls
house which I can reach into. Like many enthusiasts I now
want to go larger, but this is posing a real problem to me.

I have two metal fronted 1960's Triang
Dolls houses (Model numbers 50 and 65) which haven't been
sympathetically restored by previous owners! If anyone could
tell me where I can get transfers (Wisteria, flowers, trees sun

have several Victorian dollhouses to restore. I wish to be as
authentic as possible and need tinplate door hinges (not Brass).
Is it possible that you have any, or can make me some? Sizes need to be
1cm. through 3 cm. and style needs to be plain, i.e. straight
sides, also slightly shaped. Didn't you have some in that old box of

I have a collection of excellent condition
vintage Caroline's home furniture for sale - dining room corner
unit with top "leaded" opening door, matching table and four
chairs, sink unit, cooker, washing machine, bath, toilet and sink
unit, 2 original dolls, picture, small stool, silver teaset (missing 1
plate), 4 "dinners", a jelly and a cake. Also a Dol
tois fridge with original contents and a Triang sink and some dol tois
saucepans. These are small scale items which fit in the small
Triang houses or other small older houses or indeed Caroline's home
itself. I am having to get rid of some of my collection and
these items are in good condition as they have been sitting in my
little Triang house for some time. Not sure about price - just

4 single Rodwell metal windows in good
condition for sale. They measure approx 8cm height and 6cm
across - green frames with cream lattice opening insets - often
used to replace missing Triang windows.
Also a lovely little metal door of the
same type but 1.24 scale (same measurements as the windows) - green
frame and opening door with a circular window with original red inset.
I believe Rodwell made these items up to
some time in the sixties - these are the doors/windows often seen on
old dollshouses and mistaken for Triang. I

last of my collection to go! This lot would suit someone with a
vintage house to fill or even a dollshouse fair seller - it is a large
collection of mainly wooden furniture - too much to list but mostly old
except for a lovely 1.16" chaise with matching armchair and stool.
There is an excellent condition old radiogram which may be triang or doi
tois, an old wooden doi tois fire place and kitchen dresser plus

15" wide 30" high to top of apex roof.
Inside it has one large kitchen diner at bottom, then a sitting room and

my name is Rosie Kingsbury-Smith, the dolls house is inWiltshire. Scale
1/16 possibly Triang. Early 1950s. Base 1ft x 2ft 4 1/2 inches. House base
9" x 2 ft 3. Height to roof 1 ft 3. Some evidence of bushes/flowers
on front of house, most metal hooks and fastenings still in place, roof
lifts off. Some damage to roof so needs TLC. All windows are leaded, steps
to a wooden front door. Any sensible offers accepted.
Also available metal loo with attached seat goes up and down as hinges
still good, height 1". Metal roll top bath on little legs 4 1/2
inches, height 1". 1950s, metal not lead still got original
paint and is green.
3 metal and orange chairs. Quite modern in design. 3 1/2" jhigh with
lamp to match. Old fashioned dark brown radio made by kleeware. Metal
turquoise dressing table set, table with mirror, wardrobe, bed and
radiatior. Old metal office desk RAF blue. Wooden chest of drawers,
mahoghany colour, drawers open. Set of green table and chair. I sink unit
and black mixer taps. Again any sensible offer accepted.
