Can you help?

I am new to this web site and would like to ask if anyone can help with obtaining white six panel window panes.  I have all the frames but lack the panes to finish off this 16 year project I have undertaken.  I hope some one can help or who knows of a good metal worker who can make them.  I have tried but keep cutting myself.  Hope someone can come to my aid. tina.donnelly@ntlworld.com  'Triang Stockbroker House'

I am very new to the world of dolls houses, and have a 12th scale one
which I want to kit out in a modern style. I'm finding it difficult to
find modern furniture without paying a fortune for it, so have decided
to make my own as much as possible.
However, I'm stuck for ideas on a TV, especially one that I could
electrify, so any help would be gratefully received!
Please contact me at: mrschriscrosby@yahoo.co.uk     THANK YOU!!!

Can you help?

I have just bought a Triang Dolls house, it has a "Triang. Made in England" sticker on the back.  It has 4 rooms and has 2 gables which open with a black front door in the middle and a garage with red brick paper floor, beneath part of the left hand upstairs room.  The 2 interior doors and garage doors are plain wood.  The metal windows have green outside frames and white inside.  The outside of the window in the right hand gable is black.  There are flowers and leaves sploshed up the front.  Inside there is paper parquet flooring and flowered wall paper.  There are lights in the two upstairs rooms, not sure if they work yet.  I think I have all the windows and most have some kind of material stuck on them to look like curtains. The roof looks weird, like it had some tiled effect paper on it but someone painted it red and didn't do a very good job.  It stands on a green base that sticks out a bit round the side and more round the front of the house.  Is there anyone out there who can please tell me about it?  Would anyone be able to tell how old it is from my description?  Are there any books I can look in?  I have several bits of furniture that could be original.  I intend to do it up and furnish it in the original style.  At first was going to just paint it but then, having read some of the other messages on the website, I wondered if the wallpaper/roof could be original and if so, it would be a pity to do that.  I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have.  Many thanks. Can you help Maria ?

HI!

I'm from Puerto Rico. The best part of the merchandise comes to this Island through the United Stated. For certainly the metal house that I want to find come from it. I don't know exactly.

I would like to know more information about metal houses of the 1960-1970 years. When I was a little girl I had a metal house and I desire to find exactly that model.

I need obtain a brochure or something similar to I can see exactly that model. I can’t tell you more about this because I don't know which is the company that made this metal house.

The house was approximately 2 feet wide and 1 feet height with 2 floors. The roof was green tiles and in form of a chalet. Its outside walls were red with windows and flowers. The complete house was painted inside and outside with several things including the furniture that was painted on the walls: kitchen, living room, bathroom… all it with details like by example: a toilet tissue, frames, rugs. Etc. I don’t remember some details but if I see it I can recognize it.

I need some e-mail or regular mail directions of people that can help me or if you have any brochure please send me it through of my e-mail or my regular mail (below). I don't have problem if I have paid for any catalogue; please notify me.

Any information that you can send me I would appreciate it.

Thank you for your attention.

Cordially yours,

María Rodríguez-Andino

Can you help Daniel?

Hope all is well at dollshouse info land, some news for you, in november
my partner and I are moving to the south of France to live, all is not lost,
we are going to do lots of dollshouse things, when we get there and get
sorted I will contact you with all the relevant updates etc, I plan to start
making houses from scratch and selling them, as well as the 1/144th houses
on my website and who knows!! Peter my partner is going to paint miniature
watercolours, he has done them before to great success.
The reason this is called your help is because I wondered if via your website
you could put out a plea for me. While in France I want to write a book
about dollshouse collectors
, there are lots of books about building, furnishing
etc but I am interested in the people who do this odd hobby, I want to look
at their collections and write about their passion for dollshouses, to look
at the stories that go with houses, my experience of rescuing old houses
is that there are lots of people who love telling me about their hobby and
the stories that surround them. I am looking for about 15 people who are
prepared to show off their collections and talk about them, there will be
no contact details and I would respect their privacy completly, I want a
range of people, old, young, with personal collections, home made ones,
posh ones cheap ones, every type, just ordinary people. I would like to
interview them before I go, so I can write the book in France, I have no
idea how to get it published but who cares!! I will find out, I figure to
write the thing then worry about that sort of thing.
I must stop waffling!
I wondered if you could put something on your website for me to help me
find the people.
I leave it with you
Kind regards
Daniel

Can you help Primrose?

I have just bought a small Triang (I think) dollshouse at a boot fair.   It
has just one room up and one down and a garage and is in rather tatty
order.  The windows are blue frame and yellow square frames without glass.
Unfortunately three yellow window inserts are missing and it has no
staircase - there is a hole for one but I think it must be missing.  I
don't know the model number.  It is very sweet, but the front needs a bit
of paint.  It has roses growing up it, so I don't like to spoil it but it
needs something doing.   I would like someone's advice if possible on if I
should replace the windows with some other Triang windows which I have -
these fit but are diamond shapes and in green and cream, or if I could find
yellow ones somewhere.  Also are you supposed to repaint them?
If anyone can give me any advice very kindly I would be most grateful.

Primrose.

My name is Lilli Wunderlich.  I am nineteen years old and live in Cork city in Ireland.  I always hear about all these great clubs and fairs which are taking place in England but I have never actually met anyone who is interested in miniatures here in Ireland.  Maybe you could post up my details on your website just in case there are other miniaturists out there in Cork.  I would love to meet up with anyone interested in miniatures.  Thank you for your help.  email

Can you help Chad & Susan?  We received the following........

I like your website.. I live on a dairy farm in Idaho and just recently entered the 21st Century...I got a computer two weeks ago and am just learning how to use it.  I have been looking for information on antique doll houses and somehow found you.  Last summer I visited the home where my Mother and her brothers and sister were born..my cousin gave me the idea that I should build a doll house replica..anyway, that's what I plan to do, but am looking for any information/pictures of antique doll houses. I am amazed at your website...I haven't found anything like it in the U.S. My  email address is gotcows@pmt.org. (corrected 9 April!) Thanks so much and I hope to hear from you.
